 The Cloud taking to much energy? will first let me say i don't letrally mean clouds like the one's you see on a cloudy day, but rather the Cloud as a internet data cumputing place people call it the clouds, and the experts are saying its consuming more the a couple countries combined! for more info on this subject go to the webpage.

New wind Turbine?
its called Flo Design, and is like a jet plane with easy transportation and not as big as the normal wind turbines you see that are big white and ugly. The Flo Design put a 100-kw scale model in Boston and it was successful. this is a different way to generate wind energy.

Underwater kite that creates energy?

       The kite is kind of Turbine they call it "Deep Green" and was developed by a privately-owned UK company called Minesto. this "Kite is put 100 meters above sea bottom, and is about 12 meters and has a turbine that is 1 meter in diameter. the "Kite" part is used to direct the turbine where the water flows which allows it to capture the maximum water flow. it generate 800 times more energy then if above water in the sky, and generates 500 kw of electricity . this company hopes it will reveal its full scale model soon.

The Bloom Box? a box that makes clean energy able to power a U.S house?

  In Silicon Valley a company named Bloom Energy has invented a another type of fuel cell that will be in a box that the CEO says he wants in every backyard, that way you no longer have to buy your energy. their are a few big time business that bought these boxes and they say it does save them on energy bills but they paid a big price tag for them. the bloom box was originally used to create oxygen on mars which I find hard to believe. he said after the president scrapped the idea he turned that machine into a fuel cell that creates lots of energy using oil or natural gas etc. without burning emissions.

Black light Power? Getting energy from water?


     The article I read online was talking about a company Named Black Light Power. When reading the article they claimed to have invented a small box fuel cell that only needs water to create energy. This 60 million dollar company has been working on this project for nearly 20 years! and the article also talked about how scientists say the companies "product" fuel cell would defy the laws of quantum physics. The Company states that it finally has a product that is ready for market.

    The "product" also a form of a fuel cell "creates energy" when "The fuel cell releases heat that turns water into steam, which drives electric turbines." one of the Fuel cell final product makes 50-Kilowatts.

Are Large solar farms the next big thing?

    The magazine I was reading had an article called The World's Largest Solar Farm and In February, the Ivanpah Solar Electricity Generating System opened over a 3500-acre stretch of the Mojave desert. the solar thermal farm operates at 392 megawatts. its enough to power 140,000 homes. This huge solar farm eliminates 450,000 tons of emissions annually.

    Here is how this Solar Farm works, first off there are about 347,000 software-controlled mirrors that  track the sun's movement thought out the day. they then direct light toward one of three towers, where a water boiler creates steam that powers a generator.

    so my thoughts on Solar Farms is its a great way to help the earth and save on emissions but what the article doesn't talk about is how much it cost to make this Giant Farm, or the fact that it uses 3500 acres! although that land isn't used for much, I don't think we have the room or money to have "enough" Solar Farms to fix are energy crisis, but I do think its a step forward in the right direction. please feel free to leave me your comments.

          How many ways can we generate alternative/renewable energy? we've all heard about the basic 4 or 5 renewable "meachines" ex: windfarms, geothermal, solarpanals, huge nuclear reactors, and dams that cover the whole width of the river all while destroying fish habitat, and killing them as well. but what if you could have dams that worn't the whole width, and didnt kill habitat or fish and generating more energy then the ones that you've seen that cost millions of dollars to build? what if their where windfarms that didnt take hundreds of farmable land but put them in places we dont ever use and dont kill habitat? Will i'v researched these possiblites and although i didnt find much about the small dams, i did find enformation on the winfarms in far places that we "Humans" dont use. I have one word its called the Ocean, and far away from any shore or any animals precious habitat. To be more precise it's the middle of the ocean. I know what your saying why haven't we done that yet! well their are a couuple question's that need to get answered before they do that, and a couple of examples off my head are: how do we transfer the energy to to land? Does it really not kill habitat ? how would you get though's huge windmills to "float"? All great questions i know thanks haha, but the one i really want to get answered is "how do you tranfer the energy from the MIDDLE of the OCEAN (which we all know how big the blue ocean is) tothe cities? I'm guessing a big ship that you plug in and then go to land and unload the "energy"? Now i may sound like a hater but im not! i just think its a little out there! literaloy out there! Tell me your thought about this post great idea? or one that would be great in 100 years?

 what is this blog about? what does the title mean?

            Renewable Energy Engineering or REE is a blog about new inventions or ideas on new way to find renewable energy. Lets review what renewable energy is: Renewable Energy is energy from a source that is not depleted when used, some examples of renewable energy  include wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, and nuclear but that can be controversial.

           For my next blog i plan on talking about the different types of harvesting renewable energy, and which type is best for the environment, while harvesting the most energy.
